Caelie McCormick Sweigart, Esquire is a member of the Anzalone Law Offices in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where she focuses her practice on Plaintiff’s personal injury, specifically motor vehicle collisions, slip and falls, and premises liability. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, American Association for Justice, Northeastern Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and the Wilkes-Barre Law & Library Association. Attorney Sweigart is admitted to practice in the state courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
After graduating summa cum laude from the Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in public relations and a minor in political science, Attorney Sweigart attended the Penn State Dickinson School of Law. During her time at Dickinson, Attorney Sweigart excelled in the classroom and was named a member of the Woolsack Honor Society, which is comprised of the top ten percent of students in each graduating class. She graduated cum laude from Dickinson in 2010.
Following law school, Attorney Sweigart started her career at a regional Philadelphia law firm, eventually choosing to return to Wilkes-Barre to practice law with her father and continue her family’s tradition as a fourth-generation attorney practicing in the Wyoming Valley. While maintaining a private practice, she also perfected her oral and written advocacy skills as an appellate attorney for the Office of the Luzerne County Public Defender. Most recently, Attorney Sweigart served as a full-time law clerk to a judge in the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas, Civil Division.
Attorney Sweigart is married to Chad J. Sweigart, Esquire, and they have two children. She maintains an active role in the Luzerne County legal community, having been a past member of the Executive Committee for the Wilkes-Barre Law & Library Association and currently serving as the chairperson for its Arbitration Committee.
