The National Trial Lawyers
OUR mission is to promote excellence and foster diversity in the legal profession through advocacy training, networking and education of trial lawyers. The National Trial Lawyers promotes and endorses legal educational programs, including its annual Trial Lawyers Summit. Our goal is to enable members to draw upon the association’s strong training, educational and networking resources so they may have benefits that were either unavailable or difficult to find on their own. Because The National Trial Lawyers’ membership includes both civil plaintiff and criminal defense attorneys, members have valuable opportunities to gain ideas, referrals and strategies from the premier lawyers who make up our membership. Our website is also a resource for plaintiffs, victims and consumers. By making reference resources available to them, we also hope to connect them with association members in their area.

The National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys
The National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys uses a thorough selection process to determine the top Personal Injury attorneys in each state. With thousands of attorneys in each state, the NAOPIA’s rigorous, independent selection process resolves the challenge of attorneys claiming to be “the best” without basis for such claims. For the injured, finding a well-qualified Personal Injury attorney is imperative, and the NAOPIA’s process leaves no doubt as to whom the preeminent Personal Injury attorneys are:
- The attorneys who make the NAOPIA list must first be nominated by a licensed practicing attorney or one of our in-house research staff members.
- Second, the NAOPIA research staff verifies the nominated individuals meet the minimum requirements of membership in the NAOPIA.
- Then the NAOPIA processing committee selects a portion of the nominated attorneys to advance to the final selection stage.
