Last February, a fire tore through the Martin D. Popky B’nai B’rith apartments in downtown Wilkes-Barre – displacing and injuring elderly residents. Authorities determined the cause of the fire as accidental, through careless smoking.
On Tuesday, a civil lawsuit was filed for residents who still feel the event’s impact over a year later.
